- “Jarrett Sapphires” “we” or “us”: Refers to Jarrett Sapphires, Jewellery and Fossicking, located at Rubyvale, Queensland.
- "Services": Includes the sale of jewellery, gemstones, camping, sandcasting and fossicking experiences offered by Jarrett sapphires.
- "User": Refers to any individual or entity purchasing or using our services.
Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to participate in fossicking activities.
Products and Services
- All jewellery and gemstones sold are described to the best of our ability. However, natural variations in gemstones may occur, and no two items will be identical. It is important to note that a faceted note will vary in shades of colour depending on quality of the light in which the stone is being viewed.
- Fossicking experiences are subject to weather and site conditions. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel an event for safety reasons.
Booking and Payment
- All fossicking experiences must be booked in advance.
- Payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your spot.
- Cancellation policies apply:
- Full refunds for cancellations made at least 7 days in advance.
User Responsibilities
- Users must comply with our ‘Respect Policy’ and all safety instructions during fossicking experiences. See ‘Fossicking Safety Guidelines’.
- Any damage caused to property, equipment, or fossicking sites due to negligence may result in charges.
- Jewellery and gemstones purchased must be used only for personal purposes unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Liability
- Jarrett Sapphires is not responsible for injuries or accidents occurring during fossicking activities unless caused by negligence on our part.
- All jewellery and gemstone sales are final unless there is a defect in materials or workmanship.
Intellectual Property
- All designs, brand names, logos, and materials related to Jarrett Sapphires are our intellectual property and cannot be used without permission.
Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Queensland, Australia. By agreeing to these terms, you consent to submit to this jurisdiction.
Changes to Terms
- Jarrett Sapphires reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of changes via email or website announcement.

- Refrain from interrupting or undermining staff members during their duties.
- Do not engage in harassment or inappropriate behavior, including verbal or physical misconduct.
- Constructive feedback is welcome but should be delivered respectfully through the appropriate channels.
3. Towards Other Participants
- Be considerate of others' fossicking experiences. Avoid loud or disruptive behavior that could disturb others.
- Share fossicking spaces and resources equitably, especially in high-traffic areas.
- Respect others’ finds and workspaces. Do not interfere with another participant’s activity or belongings.
- Encourage and assist new fossickers where appropriate, fostering a sense of community and learning.
4. Towards the Environment
- Respect the natural environment by following our environmental guidelines.
- Avoid littering and help preserve fossicking sites for future participants.
5. Consequences of Disrespectful Behavior
- Jarrett Sapphires reserves the right to remove any participant who violates this Respect Policy without refund.
- Serious violations may result in being banned from future fossicking events or activities.
- In cases of harassment, violence, or other severe misconduct, legal action may be taken.
6. Reporting Issues
- If you experience or witness disrespectful behavior, please report it immediately to a staff member. All reports will be handled confidentially and with care.

Fossicking Safety Guidelines
1. Compliance with Local Laws and Regulations
- No fossicking permits are required to attend any of our fossicking experiences.
2. Safety Equipment
- Jarrett Sapphires recommends the use of appropriate safety gear, including:
- Sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
- Gloves for handling rocks or tools.
- Protective clothing and sunscreen to prevent sun exposure.
3. Health and Fitness
- Participants should be in good physical health and notify us of any medical conditions that may affect their participation.
- Jarrett Sapphires reserves the right to deny participation to individuals who may pose a risk to themselves or others.
4. Weather Conditions
- Fossicking activities may be rescheduled or canceled in cases of extreme weather, including heavy rain, storms, or high temperatures. Participants will be notified promptly.
5. Site Hazards
- Participants must exercise caution around:
- Uneven or slippery terrain.
- Sharp tools and equipment.
- Wildlife, including snakes and insects.
6. Children and Supervision
- Children 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times during fossicking activities.
7. Tool Use and Handling
- Only approved hand tools may be used on-site. Instructions on their proper use will be provided before the activity begins.
- Participants are responsible for their own tools unless provided by us.
8. Accident and Emergency Procedures
- Participants must report any accidents or injuries immediately to the site supervisor.
- In the event of an emergency, participants must follow instructions from our staff and emergency responders.
9. Environmental Responsibility
- Participants are expected to fossick responsibly, leaving the environment as undisturbed as possible.
- All waste must be disposed of in designated areas.
Environmental Guidelines

- Take all rubbish, including food wrappers, bottles, and fossicking materials, with you when you leave.

- Do not disturb wildlife or their habitats, including plants, animals, and insects.
- Maintain a safe distance from all animals and avoid feeding them.
Protect Waterways
- Do not pollute rivers, creeks, or any water sources at fossicking sites.
- Avoid using detergents, chemicals, or any pollutants near waterways.
Use Tools Responsibly
- Use fossicking tools only in designated areas to minimize environmental damage.
Report
- Report any environmental concerns, such as damaged sites or pollution, to site supervisors or local authorities.
